John Bryant and Frank Hames have been a team for over 20 years in the music business. Starting out by playing together in the highly respected 1 O'Clock Lab Band at The University of North Texas, they have accrued an impressive list of credentials. John is a percussionist and Frank plays keyboards. Together they compose, produce, arrange, and perform on feature length and documentary film scores, records, TV & radio commercials, and corporate films.

Having worked with some of the top producers in the country as studio session players, they know this business from the ground up. A partial list of their credits includes recording and/or performing with Ray Charles, Charlie Pride, The Dallas Symphony, Nancy Wilson, Dionne Warwick, Gary Burton, and the Neville Brothers, to name a few.

From 1978 to 1986 they were the business and creative forces behind the group Phyrework, which had a national release on Mercury Records. They toured the U.S., sharing concert billing with Kool & The Gang, Herbie Hancock, Average White Band, Ohio Players, and many others.

In 1987, John Bryant and Frank Hames created BRYANT-HAMES MUSIC. Since that time they have composed and produced music as a team for Emmy Award winning films (THE U.S. MEXICAN WAR - Best Documentary,1998.), and Emmy Award winning film makers (Dereck and Beverly Joubert, LIONS OF DARKNESS, National Geographic Television, and Ginny Martin, PBS films). In addition, they composed the classical score for several episodes of the Peabody Award winning children's show, WISHBONE, seen daily on PBS and around the world, along with music scores for Showtime Movie Channel feature films, as well as serving as Music Supervisor on many of these projects.
